Yes, The Hunger Games was pushed as a PG-13 movie. It was done to open up the doors to younger viewers. It is disturbing to see people get upset because the violence was masked by a shaky camera effect. It was masked to keep the rating down, but to get upset because you didn’t get to see The tributes kill each other makes you no different than the citizens of the capitol. Hungry for blood, gore, and death.
Just imagine how horrible it would’ve been to see the deaths as described in the books. The way they filmed it was probably the best way.
